A Melbourne classic with a backstory as good as the food. The menu rarely changes — and doesn’t need to. Pasta is consistently excellent, portions are generous, and the wine comes in old-school water glasses. It books out fast, so be ready to share a table if that’s the only way in. Tiramisu’s a standout. No frills, just great food. Worth it every time.

The food was amazing as usual. Very big portions and all the food seasoned well. The lamb shanks were the main attraction. Tender and very tasty and two shanks. I feel that the prices were different (higher) than the lunch prices. $9 for a can 300ml of Coke Zero, how's that reasonable?

Wow! I’ve heard a lot about this place and it does not disappoint. It was very busy and cosy, but the service, atmosphere and food were all outstanding. I also luv the fact that it is BYO wine as well, which was an added bonus to me. Highly recommended as I will definitely be returning there soon.

Very tasty pasta! Service is very friendly and attentive. Fantastic option for solo, couples or small groups. Recommend to book to make sure you get a table. I was lucky as a walk in. So busy and lots of options

A hidden away upstairs restaurant serving Italian fare in a homely bustling setting, take a look at the blackboard and pick your dish. I chose from the specials: Pappardelle Salsicce. Presenting lovely long tender strands of delicious wide pasta coated by the thin tomato sauce providing a nice concentrated intensity in flavour and complimenting pieces of the Italian sausage, this was very enjoyable. I couldn't resist dessert and opted for the classic - tiramisu. Very light, nice chocolate and slightly strong coffee flavour, light airy mascarpone and cream, satisfying. Busy place but appreciate the staff accommodating our party of 6 as a walk in group of work colleagues. #ItalianFood #lunch #pappardelle #pasta #salsicce #tomatosauce #tiramisu #dessert #sweettooth #Foodie #melbournefood #melbournecbd

This place takes me back to Italy. It’s how an Italian restaurant should be. No frills, just affordable, quality food and a decent menu. My mushroom parpadelle was al dente and so filling. The portions were generous and perfect with the never ending parm and chilli.

Dinner on Thursday night - 57 pp no split bill We ordered fungi pasta, Tortellini Bolognese, bruschetta and two crepes (jam&lemon). They open at 5:30pm but so many people lined up outside. I do recommend making a reservation before you go! The tomatoes on the bruschetta was so sweet and the bread is crispy. The fungi pasta was a bit less sauce and taste. Overall we had great meal and time.

Popped in for some carbonara and was not disappointed. It’s been a long time since I’ve been served good old Italian pasta and this really hit the spot. Quickest service I’ve ever received, the whole place felt very down to earth and warm. I can’t wait to go back.
